While admission is free to this Gala Concert, it is a fundraising opportunity for the BBC to further is mission with our BBCEO Program and the expansion of brass band musical repertoire. Featured at this concert is the World Premiere of a BBC Commissioned composition from Internationally-renowned composer James Curnow: "The Ellacombe Chronicles,' and we are excited to announced that Mr. Curnow will direct.

Thanks to the generosity of many, our Silent Auction Catalog is quite impressive and unique. So while admission is complimentary to this tremendous Silver Celebration, we hope you won't forgot your checkbook. We will unfortunately not be able to accept credit cards.

While we had originally planned and advertised a 50/50 Raffle, this is now being replaced by a Money Tree Raffle courtesy of our BBC Board Member, Mrs. Carolyn Weltzheimer. (Thank you).

This promises to be a momentous evening! Please join us.

The Party's Over...

What a resounding success and magnificent evening of exciting music and memories for all who participated or attended.

We promise to share photographs soon, however we can share both an online and downloadable digital edition of our souvenier Silver Celebration Gala Program.

The Ellacombe Chronicles by James Curnow received its world premiere with Mr. Curnow directing and providing anecdotal comments prior to the performance. With a resounding standing ovation upon its conclusion, we are confident this beautiful new piece will find a popular niche in the Brass Band World - from concert repertoire to its obvious suitability as amajor test piece for competitions.

Many memories were shared by Charter Members and BBC Founder and Director Emeritus, Dr. Paul Droste. The evening concluded with a poignant performance of Gordon Langford's "Three Hymn Tunes" under the Dr. Droste's baton- closing the 25th Gala with the same composition played at the BBC's very first performance in 1984.

The BBC is grateful for the generosity of those who donated some amazing items for our Silver Celebration Gala Silent Auction - a first for our organization.

Thank you to everyone who joined us for this spectacular evening of music and participated by placing a bid.

Here is a sample of our Silent Auction Items - some were so unique we can truthfully say they are "priceless." Congratulations to the winners!
