Champions

Founded in 1984 by Dr. Paul Droste, the Brass Band of Columbus (BBC) has a Championship reputation. Under the direction of Tim Jameson since in 2005, the BBC competes in the top NABBA division, the Championship Section, and has been awarded First Place ten times – most recently in April 2006.  No other North American brass band approaches this record of excellence. April - 2009. The BBC has won the 2009 Hannaford Cup - awarded at the Hannaford Festival of Brass (Toronto) for the BBC performance of The Padstow Lifeboat. This is the first time the Hannaford Cup has journeyed south of the Canadian border.

No Passport Required

Tne 2009-2010 season moves the BBC forward to its next twenty five years. "No Passport Required" is the title of our new season beginning with our Fall 2009 concerts. More coming soon!

Our Silver Celebration Gala Concert was on Sunday, April 26, and the packed house was to their feet following a thrilling World Premiere of a specially commissioned work, "The Ellacombe Chronicles" by renowned composer James Curnow. Mr. Curnow directed his brilliant composition - destined to grace the brass band world with a beloved and enduring addition to its repertoire henceforth. The evening was electric as Charter Members and BBC Founder / Director Emeritus Dr. Paul Droste shared their special Silver Retrospectives. Learn more.

Our all-volunteer organization relies heavily upon Corporate and Individual support to sustain our mission as a 501(c)3 non-profit organization.
