Founded in 1984 by Dr. Paul Droste, the Brass Band of Columbus (BBC) has a Championship reputation. Under the direction of Tim Jameson since in 2005, the BBC competes in the top NABBA division, the Championship Section, and has been awarded First Place ten times – most recently in April 2006. April - 2009. The BBC has won the 2009 Hannaford Cup - awarded at the Hannaford Festival of Brass (Toronto) for the BBC performance of The Padstow Lifeboat. This is the first time the Hannaford Cup has journeyed south of the Canadian border.
